High Defence & Security

West Midlands Police Headquarters

The total rewire of Chelmsley Wood Police Station epitomises the values and professionalism of Electec Limited. Not only was this contract delivered on time and on budget it was carried out with very little disruption to the occupants.

This Station is a fully functioning facility. Careful planning and liaison with the Station Chief on a daily basis was essential. It is down to this careful planning and liaison at site level that, despite the installation of a brand new main distribution panel and a 250KVA standby generator, no police man hours were lost through disruption.

Industrial & Commercial

Bristan Group, Dordon

The installation at Cambridge Airport consists of power and control wiring to high level gas heater and a number of stand alone boiler houses. A particular problem on this project was the fact that most of the hangars where the high level gas heaters were being installed were populated with aircraft in various stages of disassembly being serviced.

This meant again close liaison with the staff on site as well as careful working practices to ensure no debris was left lying around or even dropped from height. A single washer dropped into open service panels on these aircraft can have obvious serious repercussions.

Aldi Stores

Electec have been involved in numerous Aldi Store extensions throughout the Midlands and have also completed the electrical installations on brand new stores.

The ongoing trading of the stores means that great care and planning is involved to minimise disruption and impact on the stores customers ensure a maintained level of customer service with minimal disruption during normal trading hours.

Shelton Primary Care Centre, Stoke

Electec were involved in the construction of a new Community Health Centre at Shelton, Stoke on Trent. The project involved the development of an initial design brief prior to construction covering mains distribution, lighting, lighting control systems, emergency lighting, examination lighting, power, voice and data cabling, fire alarm systems, public address system, patient call staff attack system, door access system, intruder alarm system, CCTV, induction loops, television outlets and lightning protection.

Our expertise and skill in Project Management, Planning and Co-ordination with the number of specialist systems involved, ensured that the project was successfully delivered on time and within budget.

NEC, Birmingham

Electec completed the total refurbishment of the new NEC administration office area.

This was a £720k project that involved the installation of lighting, lighting control systems, power, data, fire alarm and PAVA systems.

Again, the project was completed on time and within budget to enable the NEC staff to relocate from their previous premises in the time frame demanded.
